How you prepare
Your initial consultation typically involves an interview, physical examination, and other testing, such as an electrocardiogram (EKG) based on your condition.

You do not need to be fasting for this test.

No alcohol or nicotine consumption after midnight prior to your test.

Wear two-piece clothing. No shirts with metal snaps and no flip-flops or sandals.

Please do not bring a guest along, as we can only accommodate patients having the test.

Results
Once the results of testing are obtained, your cardiology provider will discuss the optimal treatment plan, which can include preventative measures such as lifestyle modifications (i.e. healthy diet, physical activity, smoking cessation), medications, cardiac rehabilitation, or further procedures.
